boonAccommodate

For charter school SPED directors

Instant IEP accommodations. Guaranteed proof.

Your teachers publish their regular assignments and tests in Canvas or Schoology. Boon Accommodate instantly creates the accommodated version for every student with an IEP and keeps a dated record of each one. Live at your school by January 15.

Founding pricing for the first 25 charter schools. Holding a spot is free and non-binding, and you don't pay until you sign off on your first week's matrix.

Illustration. "Met" means applied as written in the IEP, on the version the student received.

Every school can prove a teacher received the IEP. Almost none can prove the student received the accommodation.

What schools document today

IEP-at-a-glance sheets. Sign-off forms. Emails to case managers. All proof the plan was sent.

What a parent or the state asks for

Proof that each student got each accommodation, on each assignment and test.

That gap is where most implementation complaints live, and it isn't a training problem. A teacher with 150 students and a test due Thursday can't hand-modify every version, every time. See what the state found in 35 complaint decisions.

How it works

1

Share your IEPs

Upload them all at once. Boon pulls out the accommodations for assignments and tests, and you approve them once. Want a person on judgment calls, like which items stay on a reduced assignment? Your case manager can preview those before students see them.

2

Teachers publish as usual

Nothing new to learn. Each student with an IEP gets their version automatically, the moment the assignment goes out.

3

You see the matrix

Every accommodation, every student, and how each was met. If something's missed, Boon prepares the fix and asks you to approve it.

What you get

  • A dated Delivery Record for every student, with one-click export
  • Accommodated versions of every assignment and test, created at publish
  • The Accommodations Matrix, with gap fixes on approval
  • Batch IEP import, with your approval and an optional case-manager preview
  • Complaint-Ready Export. Formatted like the documentation that held up in state complaint decisions.
  • One-Day Records Pull. If a family or the state asks, we pull and format the record within one school day.
  • The Approval Kit. A one-page memo for your executive director, our data privacy agreement, and a security summary.

For a 600-student charter with 90 IEP students, doing all of this by hand would take roughly $41,500 a year in staff time, by our assumptions. Run your own numbers.

The guarantees

You don't pay until it works.

Billing starts when you sign off on your first week's matrix showing every assignment and test accommodation met.

It stays working.

Fixes run automatically when you approve them. If an accommodation goes unmet for more than one school day after you approve the fix, that month is free.

The Proof Guarantee.

If a state complaint or monitoring visit finds an accommodation unmet that your matrix showed as met, we refund your year and put up to $5,000 toward your response.

The Proof Guarantee covers accommodations in IEPs uploaded to Boon within five school days of any change. Full terms, including caps, are in the founding agreement.

What it doesn't do

Seating, breaks, and other classroom accommodations show up as reminders for teachers, but they aren't logged. Paper tests and work outside Canvas or Schoology aren't covered. Boon covers what happens on assignments and tests in your LMS.

The founding 25

We're onboarding 25 charter schools for second semester, because that's how many we can support well. The founding price closes when 25 schools join. Hold a spot by December 18 to be live by January 15; schools that start later can begin any month.

Setup is three things: sign the data agreement, have IT install the plug-in, and share your IEPs.

Holding a spot is free and non-binding for 14 days. You'll get the Approval Kit within one school day, and I'll set up a time to run Boon on one of your own tests.

I'll reply personally within a day. — James Ure, CEO, Boon

Questions

How do you handle student privacy?

We sign your state's student data privacy agreement before we see a single IEP. Our full privacy and security details come in the Approval Kit when you hold a spot.

Does AI write or change our IEPs?

No. Boon reads the accommodations, you approve what it found, and it applies them to classwork. It never writes or changes an IEP.

What does IT need to do?

Your Canvas or Schoology admin installs the plug-in once. It's done within a day.

Which IEP systems do you work with?

Any IEP saved as a PDF works, from whatever system you use.

What about 504 plans?

We start with IEPs. 504 plans can be added; ask us.

What does "met" mean?

Applied as written in the IEP, on the version of the assignment or test the student received. The record shows what was applied and when.

What about paper tests?

They aren't covered. Boon works on assignments and tests built in Canvas or Schoology.

What if it isn't live by January 15?

You don't pay. Billing starts only when you sign off on your first week's matrix, and holding a spot costs nothing.

Can't Gemini do this?

Gemini can modify an assignment when a teacher asks it to. It doesn't know each student's IEP, doesn't apply accommodations automatically, and keeps no record you could show a parent or the state.
